Smith Island & Ocean City, Maryland

Smith Island, the only off-shore inhabited Maryland Island, is a working watermen’s community that boasts great seafood with genuine small town Eastern Shore simplicity. Ferry time is 12:30 PM daily with return passage at 4 PM. (CPT Jason is the boat, fare is cash only $25 PP/round trip for same day fares). If you’d like to stay with us at the Smith Island Inn for a night, we offer a discount to Cape Charles guests renting one of our properties.

Ocean City (Maryland) offers the crowds, concessions, rides, and ocean within a 2-hour drive north. The bustling summer crowds are a favorite for kids and those that crave an active touristy vibe.
